Cosy Contemporary Kitchen

This delectable kitchen space was designed by Kitchen Studio, a design team based in Doncaster. They worked alongside the customer to create this kitchen space that combines cosy and warm with open and bright, resulting in a gorgeous living space that can be enjoyed by the customer every day. It features warm, earthy tones complimented by the Dekton worktops. The customer opted for their ultra compact surface in colour Radium. Dekton Radium represents a rusty, acid-degraded steel plate and offers an aesthetic that perfectly combines the warm expression of orange and brown tones with the cool character of bluish and greenish tints. It is complimented by the mottled brown cabinets and soft furnishings that both offer contemporary design.

The kitchen space is unique, with a split floor and ceiling level, creating a nook to house the kitchen that extends out into the larger living space. To soften the division between the two, the worktop has a curved edge, made possible with our machinery and craftsmanship. This run of worktop features a hob top and sink, which has been paired with a matte black tap which makes a fabulous design choice. There is also a small island section, which just as the worktop fun, has folded waterfall edges, allowing the stone to be showcased even further. The skylights and large array of windows within the living section of the room allows for natural light to flow in and brighten up this contemporary space.

Silestone is a very popular choice for kitchen worktops, for a variety of reasons. One benefit to this product is that it is man made. This mixture of natural stone, resins and dye results in a reinforced stone that is capable of resisting scratches and stains, as well as temperature exposure. No staining means the surface repels things that may damage the stone, but it is also non-porous, allowing it to also repel bacteria. The surface can’t absorb harmful bacteria that can sit on the surface, hence making it brilliant for kitchens and high traffic areas. It would also be unfair to suggest that a man made stone wouldn’t be as aesthetic as a natural product, as this is far from the truth. They are specifically designed to emulate natural products, to provide the customer with a product just as beautiful, with an enhanced performance.
