Grey Contemporary Kitchen

Here we have a kitchen, designed by Kitchen Studio, Doncaster, that emulates modern design, featuring Dekton worktops. They are in the colour Orix, which has a worn cement design in which industrial aesthetics are characterised by being iron, cold and broken. Representing a dichotomy between the new and the worn, the colour combination is based on different shades of grey, blue and green. Although the colour is found a lot in industrial style interiors, this is softened here thanks to the rest of the design choices.  The white cabinets and wood floor keep the design neutral and light, with the mirrored backsplash creating the illusion of an even bigger space.

Dekton is made of a mixture consisting of porcelain, quartz, glass and raw materials. These materials are then heated to give you the Dekton range tops, which have each design printed on its surfaces. This allows the worktops to be highly resistant to heat, cool temperatures, UV rays, scratches and staining. Also, it looks great for both indoors and outdoors worktop counters, surfaces and workspace, for example, kitchen counters, worktops, bathroom surfaces, etc. In addition, Dekton has low thermal expansion, to ensure there will not be thermal shocks when exposed to high or low temperatures. It also has a high abrasion resistance and allows surfaces to be easy to work with, as they do not require sealing. Overall, it is a brilliant choice for a kitchen.

To compliment the design, the cabinets are grey and their handle less design extends the contemporary feel the customers were wanting to achieve. The pale flooring and white walls keeps the space bright and open, complimenting the kitchen/living area the customers have within their home. This is helped by the addition of large patio doors and multiple windows, allowing for natural light to flood in too.
