Dark Modern Kitchen Nottingham

This is a fabulous project we manufactured these show stopping worktops for, designed by Design Time, a kitchen specialist based in Nottingham. The star feature of this space is the worktops, subtly complemented by the block coloured cabinets. This is Dekton Kelya, a smooth black compact surface with a strong veining and marbling effect. The tone is inspired by dark marbles with light streaks for the most special environments. It features heavily in this large kitchen area, covering the island and worktops, with tall upstands and window ledges too. Other details include drainer grooves lasered into the surface, plus a substantial overhand on the island to create a breakfast bar. The rest of the interior is simplistic, with block colour, handleless cabinets with a monotone palette to tie in to the design, not stand out. It creates a beautiful kitchen area in this open plan living space. 

The product itself, Dekton, is a remarkable stone with a multitude of beneficial properties that make it a great choice for a kitchen. These include a high scratch, stain and temperature resistance, meaning you can be mildly careless when you are busy in the heart of a home. It is also highly UV resistant, so you are able to carry on the interior design out, allowing you to keep things coherent. Aside from practicality, Dekton comes in large format slabs, as well as a variety of thicknesses making it a fabulous choice for larger scale projects and products further than simply kitchen worktops or wall cladding. It also comes in a wide selection of colours and designs, meaning you will always find something to suit your project perfectly.
